Active 20-30 Sacramento No.1
Active 20-30 Sacramento No.1 provides young adults with an opportunity for personal growth, friendships and leadership development, while improving the quality of life for the special needs children in their community. Active 20-30 members host hands-on events and contribute to programs that directly benefit underprivileged or disadvantaged youth; including, purchasing school clothing, building playgrounds, holding special needs children events, and more. On average, Active 20-30 raises and donates more than $100,000 annually to youth charities in the region.
People Reaching Out
People Reaching Out, a non-profit grassroots organization formed in 1981, provides substance use and violence prevention programs, free of charge, for youths age 9 to 18 and their families. People Reaching Out programs include, information and referral, parenting classes, individual and group counseling, community awareness events and youth development. People Reaching Out works with more than 3,000 children annually and its service population reflects the wide socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural diversity of the urban and rural communities in the region; including some of Sacramento’s most impoverished and under served neighborhoods. In its 25 years of service, People Reaching Out has reached more than 1 million youth and families in Sacramento and the surrounding region.
