Sacramento-area singles are stepping up to the block – the auction block, that is – to raise funds for local children’s charities.
The "Up for Bid" Sacramento Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction, supporting Active 20-30 Sacramento No.1 and People Reaching Out will be held Saturday, October 13th at 7 p.m. at Jaguar Sacramento and Maserati of Sacramento. All proceeds from the date auction and a silent auction will support children’s charities in the Sacramento region.
Ryan Taylor, 28 year old winemaker with Mount Vernon Winery in Auburn, is one of several local professionals who will be a bachelor for bid. "It's great knowing that my involvement in the auction will benefit under-served, high-risk kids in the Sacramento area," he said with a smile. "But I have to admit, I'm getting something fun out of it, too."
The "Up for Bid" auction promises to be a fun and lively fundraiser with tangible benefits for all participants. Celebrity athletes, media personalities, politicians, and local professionals are among those being recruited to participate.
Local clothing designers will provide outfits for the bachelors/ettes. Attractive date packages are included as part of the bachelor/ette bid. Identical date packages will be offered in a silent auction for couples in attendance or others who might be too timid to bid on the bachelors/ettes.
